Open Information

All competitors must enter and pay for their entry in full via our website prior to arrival.

John Proud/ John Proud Mixed/ Seniors/ Men's/ Lady's Open
Please note that all competitors require 3 competition cards on their handicap record within 12 months prior to the competition to be eligible to win a prize.

Format: betterball/ 85% handicap allowance.

All players are required to have a current valid handicap with an affiliated golf club.

Playing handicaps of 33 for lady golfers and 18 for male golfers after th 85% has been deducted will be deemed to be the maximium handicap. Please see our slope ratings for more information.

CDH numbers will be required at the time of entry.

The winner of the event will be the pair with the best score of stableford points. In the event of a tie, all prizes will be decided on back 9, back 6, back 3, back 1, back 12, back 15.

Scratch Open
Male golfers with a handicap index of 5.4 or below will be eligible to enter our 36 hole scratch open. In the event that the competition is over subscribed, a ballot will take place where the individuals with the lowest handicap index will be given entry and the remaining competitors will be placed onto a reserve list.

Please note that the tee times will be drawn in reverse handicap order and you will not be playing at the time you choose when registering.

Prizes advertised are based on a minimum of 60 entries and will be adjusted accordingly in the event of a smaller field.

Charity Open
The Charity Open in Octiober is a mixed team event. Any combination of junior, lady and male may enter a team. The team with the best 2 from 4 stable ford score after 18 holes will be deemed the winner.

In the event of a tie, all prizes will be decided on back 9, back 6, back 3, back 1, back 12, back 15.

NEW- Winter Open Series 2025 - 2026

We are running a series of winter opens where the top ten teams from each round qualify for a final in March 2026.

There will be prizes for the top three qualifiers in each round plus the top 5 in the final.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be made 14 days prior to the date of the Open to receive a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days of the date of the competition will only be refunded if a replacement team/ individual can be found.

We reserve the right to:
Change the tee time of any group or individual which has been caused by last minute changes to the entry sheet.
Change groups so that tee times do not contain two teams from the same club
Refuse entry into any of our open competitions.
